Mini-martial arts
Kids have always been drawn to martial arts known from cartoons and movies starring their favorite superheroes - hence it is one of the most popular ECA´s (also among the girls). The kids-version of this artform is not designed for fighting, but rather it is for teaching how to move their body and limbs in a complex, balanced and powerful way which increases their motor and coordination skills. As martial arts are developed from old Asian cultures they carry a lot of values as well, which are integrated in, and taught through the training - respect, discipline and confidence.
Kids-Yoga
Kids yoga helps improve children’s emotional regulation by learning how to be in the present moment by means of relaxation and reaching a peaceful state of mind. Yoga also teaches kids discipline and reduces impulsivity providing a physical outlet for children to express themselves. It also teaches them about discipline as they work on clearing their minds and perfecting their poses. Different types of moves and positions require children to focus which enhances their concentration and memory - both of which can translate over into their academic performance.
Dancing (Hip-hop, ballet, modern etc.)
Besides being a great source of fun and exercise, dancing also serves as a creative outlet. Combining senses and body movement gives children an opportunity to explore their creative potentials independently. Dancing also enhances the kids' social skills by learning how to cooperate when moving in step with each other in groups or in couples. Moving the body in tact with the music improves motor and cognitive skills and enhances an overall physiological well being. It motivates children towards positivity and guarantees them the time of their lives.
Tennis
Repeatedly judging the precise time of impact between the moving ball and the tennis racket increases and fine tunes the hand-eye coordination. The large muscle groups get activated and agility is conditioned as the player may change direction as many as 5 times in 10 seconds! Tennis also offers a serious aerobic and cardiovascular exercise which is great for strengthening heart and lungs. All in all, a highly popular and energetic sport activity that undoubtedly will introduce the kids to the joys of racket sports.
Kids fitness/gymnastics
Gymnastics may be the one activity more than any other that comes most naturally to children. It completely harmonizes with a toddlers natural urge to move their bodies in the most creative of ways while exploring the abilities and limits of the body´s amazing mobility. Playing with gravity and testing the body's ability to jump and grab, bend and balance - is crucial to develop any child's cognitive skill functions. It may be one of the best outlets to release energy both physically and mentally.
Soccer
The sport that least needs introduction and speaks mostly for itself (but we´ll speak about it anyways). Messi, Ronaldo or Salah? The kids will tell you themselves. Allowing them to live out their football fantasies never fails and while soccer helps improve cardiovascular health, coordination, strength and flexibility - they will become both physically and mentally agile. Last but not least, soccer is a team sport (with a big T!), which teaches the kids valuable lessons of how to succeed playing side by side together with their mates.
Swimming
Both as a sport and a life saving skill, learning how to swim can be an exciting and life changing experience for children. Swimming lessons are a phenomenal way to get the children comfortable in and around the water. As they become better at swimming, their safety will improve along with all of the health benefits that swimming lessons can provide such as:
- All body muscle workout
- Cardiovascular fitness (involves the heart, lungs, and circulatory system)
- Burns lots of calories
In all cases, if you are looking for an exciting and meaningful way to get the little ones prepared for a life full of fun and safe experiences in the pools and seas of the world, you've come to the right provider.
